Dr. Christina Kursewicz is a board-certified dermatologist at Biscayne Dermatology in Midtown Miami, specializing in medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology and minimally invasive skin surgery. She is committed to improving her patients’ quality of life by fostering healthy skin and delivering refined, naturally harmonious results through her artistic eye. For Dr. Kursewicz, dermatology goes beyond skin deep: she focuses on enhancing each patient’s confidence and well-being through care tailored to them.

Areas of expertise

Dr. Kursewicz treats adults and children for skin cancer screenings, acne, rosacea, rashes, eczema, psoriasis, chronic itch, hair loss, nail disorders and skin growths. In cosmetic dermatology, she takes a holistic approach, considering each patient’s skin quality, facial structure and personal goals to create a customized plan drawing on the full range of treatments, from Botox, dermal fillers, chemical peels, microneedling, laser treatments and more. She also diagnoses and treats skin cancer, including biopsies, surgical excisions and other in-office treatments. Education and training

Dr. Kursewicz graduated cum laude with Honors in the Major of Biomedical Sciences from the University of Central Florida’s Medical Scholars program and earned her Medical Doctor degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She completed her internship in internal medicine at the University of Miami at Holy Cross Hospital and her dermatology residency at Broward Health Medical Center, where she was recognized for her dedication and pursuit of excellence.

As a research fellow in the University of Miami’s Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery, she focused on itch and coordinated clinical trials for itchy skin conditions. She has authored more than 10 peer-reviewed articles and textbook chapters and contributed to more than 15 presentations at national and international dermatology conferences.

Personal life

Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Kursewicz fell in love with sunny South Florida, which she now calls home. A former state champion gymnast, she enjoys yoga and hiking, as well as painting, playing piano and traveling.
